Getting started

Your first AI listing draft in five minutes, step by step

Installing a browser extension takes ten seconds. Getting the first draft saved is where people stall, and it is nearly always for the same few reasons. Here is the first five minutes, written down properly.

The short answer

Sign in with your email (no password). Open your marketplace in the same browser and make sure you are logged in. Pick the marketplace, drop in photos of one item, press Generate & create draft. About 30 to 60 seconds later the draft is in your account. You read it, fix anything, and press publish yourself.

What do you need before you start?

Four things. If any of them is missing, the first run is the one that fails.

The five steps

1

Install and pin the extension. Add it from the Chrome Web Store, Firefox Add-ons or Edge Add-ons. In Chrome and Edge, click the puzzle-piece icon and then the pin next to MyShopRender, so the icon is always in your toolbar.

2

Sign in with your email. Click the icon, type your email address and press Send magic link. Open the email and click the link. There is no password, and we never ask for your marketplace login. A new account includes 5 free listings with no card.

3

Log in to your marketplace, in the same browser. Open a tab, go to your shop and check you are signed in. This is the step people skip. MyShopRender saves the draft into your own logged-in session, so if you are not signed in there is nowhere for the draft to go.

4

Pick the marketplace, drop in the photos, press Generate & create draft. Choose Etsy, eBay, Vinted, Depop or Shopify, drop in the photos of your one item, and add a one-line note if the photos cannot show something (material, size range, condition). MyShopRender writes the title, description, tags, price and category, opens the listing form, fills it in and saves it as a draft. It takes about 30 to 60 seconds.

5

Read it, then publish it yourself. Open the draft in your marketplace account. Check the price in particular: the AI suggests one from what it can see in the photos, and it does not know what you paid or what your market is doing this week. Change anything you want, then press Publish. MyShopRender has no publish step at all.

One rule while it runs

MyShopRender fills the form in a real browser tab, the one you can see. Leave that tab alone until the draft is saved. Closing it, navigating away or putting the computer to sleep stops the run.

Why did my first draft not appear?

When a first listing fails, it is almost always one of these four. Check them in this order.

1. You were not signed in to the marketplace

The most common reason by a distance. Open the marketplace in a tab in the same browser, confirm you are logged in, and press Generate again.

2. The sign-in link had already been used

Sign-in links are single use and they expire. If you asked for more than one, only the newest works. If your email provider scans links, use a personal address. No email at all? Check spam, then request a new link.

3. The marketplace is not displayed in English

MyShopRender fills the form by reading the marketplace's own buttons and labels in English. Switch the marketplace's display language to English and try again. The listing it writes can still be for the UK, US, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland or Canada.

4. Shopify: the draft saved, but without photos

Your browser needs one setting switched on before MyShopRender can add photos to Shopify: Allow access to file URLs. In Chrome open chrome://extensions (in Edge, edge://extensions), click Details on MyShopRender and switch it on, then refresh your Shopify tab. It is a one-off setting and it does not let MyShopRender look through your files. The extension shows a note and a "Show me how" link as soon as you pick Shopify. Shopify works in Chrome and Edge, not in the Firefox version.

Still stuck? Email [email protected] and say which marketplace and what you were listing.

What should you do after your first draft?

Try it on one real item

MyShopRender is a browser extension for Chrome, Firefox and Edge on desktop. It drafts listings for Etsy, eBay, Depop, Vinted and Shopify (Shopify on Chrome and Edge) from your photos and saves them as drafts. It never publishes.

A new account includes 5 listings free, with no card, while early-access places last. After that, Starter is £9 a month for 30 listings and Pro is £19 a month for 150, with the first month at half price.

Questions people ask

Do I have to give MyShopRender my Etsy or eBay password?

No. It never asks for your marketplace login and uses no API keys. It fills the listing form inside your own browser, where you are already signed in.

Will it publish anything without me?

No. Every listing is saved as a draft and you press publish yourself. There is no publish step anywhere in the extension.

Can I use it on my phone?

No. It needs the desktop version of the marketplace site, in Chrome, Firefox or Edge.

How long does one listing take?

About 30 to 60 seconds from pressing Generate to a saved draft. Allow roughly a minute per item in a batch.

How many photos should I use?

Up to 10 per item. More angles give a better listing. Photograph any label, tag or box text, because the AI can read it.
